Also known as MOTHER 2 in Japan.

I really wanted an excuse to talk about one of my favorite games without being lynched for my actions, so I made the Video Game Discussion board.
Huge fan of the soundtrack, Keiichi Suzuki is probably one of the greatest musicians of all time if you exclude the undisputable king DJ Fuckasucka Ibrahim II. You've most likely heard most of the soundtrack already if you've watched like 3 YouTube videos. It's basically impossible watching a YouTube video without hearing the Onett Theme in the background. IMO, my favorite track is “Kraken of the Sea”, please take a listen once you can.
Another cool thing about it is you'll eventually get to fight a giant sentient puke-monster.

Anyways there is a possibility that I'll be doing an Earthbound play-through stream sometime during my summer break (Q3 2026), so if anyone is up to watching me play with your MOTHER2, make sure to #tube in when the time comes.

Never did quite get around to playing Earthbound, so I'm unsure if it'll be a good idea for me to check out the stream.
As for the soundtrack, it's not something I've actively listened to, but being a huge beatlemaniac, I was drawn to "Megaton Walk" and "The Cliff That Time Forgot" because of their samples.
That fact alone does beckon, but I'm not sure when I'll get around to actually playing it.

I remember being a nut for Earthbound somewhere around early 2024; I don’t think I ever got around to finishing it but I remember spending hours rom-hacking it to death with my amateur PKhack skills.
The OST never really worked for me; most of it was just boring ambient with weird samples, aside from a few like Battle Against a Machine and Kraken of the Sea. Other than that, it was a great game; the only thing Earthbound was missing was an enemy HP bar and a run button.
And also a quicker saving system, without having to listen to dad’s long monologue each fucking time.

There is a Run Away button, but it takes half of your stats (and the enemies) into account it's practically useless.

I meant a literal run button for walking. Ness is INSANELY slow, specially with how big some of the maps could get
